How Far Is It From Weardale Holiday Lodges? 

Hamsterley Forest is conveniently located around a 25–30 minute drive from both Lower and Upper Weardale Lodges, making it an easy trip out during your stay.

The journey to the forest takes you through picturesque parts of the Durham countryside, making the drive in itself pleasant. 

Its close enough visitors can enjoy a half a day or you could easily spend several hours enjoying the peace and quiet of the forest. 

Things to Do at Hamsterly Forest 

Walking and Hiking: 

There are many routes at Hamsterley Forest, these routes range from short accessible loops to longer paths that take you deeper into the woods and up the hills with stunning views. 

Popular routes include the Riverside Walk, which is a bit more gentle following the river that flows through the woodland. 

And finally the Three Becks Walk is the longest of the routes and is particularly colourful in the autumn.
